Tether predicts the growth of USDT users to 1,000,000,000

The popularity of the Tether stablecoin continues to rise despite the limitations on its circulation in Europe.

According to conservative estimates, the number of USDT users worldwide exceeded 400 million by the end of March 2025. This was stated by Tether's CEO, Paolo Ardoino. The company also notes that with the growing popularity of their coin, the user base may soon reach one billion.

Ardoino said that the mass adoption of the technology is happening due to "fieldwork" and close interaction with users, while traditional financial institutions remain passive and only observe the process from the sidelines.

The company’s CEO also emphasized that such rapid development became possible thanks to solutions "created by Tether back in 2014."

Today, the popularity of stablecoins is growing not only among individual investors but also among companies and government entities. Many of them are already implementing, developing, or planning to launch their own digital assets.
